Residence on Hook Pond
ARCHITECTURE & LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
This renovation of a 1950's East Hampton property next to the Maidstone Club began with the stripping of the house shell and interiors, and it was rebuilt in the colonial revival style of the 1920's. While the layout of the house and guest house was essentially preserved, the eclectic interiors were completely reworked in a clean, unifying program of white painted paneling and trim. The new swimming pool, terraces and gardens make up a contemporary landscape anchored by the existing majestic Siberian elms.
